Yeah, I'd toss the idea of Maine too if I could find a place that has six months fall and six months spring (actually I'd take a week of winter for the winter sports and a week or three, okay maybe even a month--after all I was born in the summer--, a month of heat to do some swimming and sun fun but that's it). Ummm, anyone know where a place like this exists........anyone?

At least you admit it!

Yes, backbiting can really be a *****!! Doesn't feel good in ANY state, and I'm sure Maine will be no acception.

Poor public transportation options statewide(understandable because of amount of rural areas, but it would be nice to have some better options than nothing!)

That it takes so long and costs so much to get out of the state, either driving or flying. When we used to go down to CT, it seemed like we drove all day just to see Kittery, and seemed eternal to get to CT. Again, that's from mid-coast, so you in the southern regions don't have the same complaint... and you in The County might have more of a complaint! (How long does it take to get from Fort Kent to Kittery, anyway? 6-7 hours? I'm curious...)
I live in an area with approx 800,000 and the buses that we have(besides few and far between) 1. blow black smoke, 2. don't service most of the city 3. are often seen waiting for a tow truck.

I find good medical care in Bangor. It is a lil bit of a trip down there but have also been fortunate to find a good local Physician right here in town. Bad side? When I do go to Bangor I always want to go out to eat stuff that's NOT good for me

Good One !!! I forgot about that one.
People who say to you "Do you know Mr. Smith? and you say "No" Then they say "Yes you do he's related to so and so " and again you say "No I don't know him" and they still try and convince you that you know this person. So finally you just give up and say yea I know him. I definately think this is a Maine thing!!
