See, we don't have the epic dramas and battles anymore, waged with zippy one liners! So glad i have a trove of dm's from Rhonda reminding me of what witty convo really is all about.

The characters we had on here.... David of the North! Also who remembers the name of the long haul trick driver and his wife? If I recall they were not who they claimed to be.

Yes indeed. I believe he turned out not to be who he presented himself to be.

I will always remember msina stepping into some raging controversy promoting the health benefits of "Nowegian Walking Poles"....it sorta broke the rhythm and saved the day.

Since that time.....on occasion I have seen someone on a trail with walking poles....it always makes me smile.

An enigma. He certainly wasn't a wrestler named Sid.

I missed that too......to tell the truth....I probably had the exact reaction he wanted then....I went from outraged, to saddened and dismayed. I finally put him on "ignore" because his post so upset me. I just took him off ignore about a month ago.....I figured he was gone. I stopped coming to Maine forum for awhile because I thought he was so awful and other people I liked and respected seemed to give him acolades.

To me Maine is the Mermaid, she was my teacher my hero and my guide. She was my scarecrow, sure i still have the lion, the tin man and the wizard (I'll let you guys figure out who is who;-), but there is only one scarecrow. I am so glad I had lunch with her and Mike and really meet the ambassador of Maine.
