Won't be me. I drive a Subaru with General Artic Altimaxes on all four wheels of course. Of course my AWD Ford Explorer is STILL in the shop waiting for some stupid part from Ford.

As of this afternoon the merged model of Canadian, American and European forecasts shows 13 to 19 inches of snow on Sunday. That's down from the 18 to 23 inches they forecast earlier today. This is for the Lincoln to Millinocket area.

The European model says 21 to 32 inches on a line from Lincoln to Danforth. Local forecasters will announce this on the noon weather tomorrow. Here's the European forecast;

Sun 21-32"
Mon 1-2" ending in the morning
Tues 3-4"
Wed 1" in the morning.

This forecast is okay with me, I wish it was opposite way around though and more for Sunday River and Sugarloaf and less for the coast, however atleast the Camden snowbowl will get a good amount.

However we are still more than 24 hours away.

Ok, it's -2º and can't fire up the furnace. Any furnace guys in the Springfield area?

I have a "salamader", 55,000 BTU if I remember correctly. I can bring it out. I think you have my cell. If not, call the house. Did you press the reset on the furnace motor itself?

At 2:47 AM this morning the NWS finally forecast "More than a foot" of snow. They had hung onto the 3 to 6 inch forecast for days after the European model was saying 18 to 24 inches. Now the European model is saying 25 to 38 inches for Sunday.

The link which downloads for free on an iPad or Android is;

forecast.io

It will ask you for your location or the location you want to check. It's amazingly accurate.
