Well we are up to 7 here in Washburn, which is 16 degrees warmer than it was 3 hours ago.

Can't say for you down there CapeCodder, but the snow around my house is going to stay until April I'll be willing to bet.

I never could get the video to download completely. Anyone else have problems? I really want to see it!

And Forest, my a/c is running furiously today and tomorrow's high is 82. Blah!

Clarification on the 50 below. When I first bought my land near Millinocket, I was not in the state, but watched the winter temps via via the internet site http://intellicast.com (broken link) and yes, I calculate windchill temps as temps. I mean, when you are in it - does it really matter what the "real" temp and "wind chill" temps are? I checked once a week and for five weeks, the wind chill was minus fifty.

Gosh Northern Maine Land Man, I sure hope you don't have personal experience with pointing your laser pointer at a police officer. If you do, how long are ya in for?

LOL, I don't think that the main problem is how long you are "in" for, rather, what is the reaction of the PO going to be? The PO, erring on the side of caution, may be inclined to believe that that your beam is a laser sight attached to a weapon that is being aimed in his direction, and take action to defend himself. If you are bullet-proof, then you don't need to worry about it.

so I have a question...the north side of the house has no windows...the south side has only bedroom windows (what a waste of sunlight!) but my question is, I need a new outdoor thermometer....where am I likely to get the best accuracy? The east side gets the AM sun, the west side is shaded a bit by a porch roof....I can see pros and cons here. Where would you place it?

For the true temperature, place it where the sun doen't shine on it at all.
