Live in Washburn, and boat/fish Cross lake all Summer long. Don't ride snow sled, too many drunks on the trails going top speed for my tastes.

From Van Buren, I ride sled, however maintain my own 25 miles of trails on personal property, also go ice fishing, and quad riding. I try to remain on my property or on personal property of friends as much as possible as this has become a sensitive issue throughout the past few years. The trails are superb! Wide like a road and smooth, however this contributes to speeders and irresponsible behaviors. I would suggest that you ride early AM or on off days such as Sunday, Wednesday's as there seems to be less traffic on those days. Out of state individuals have taken over our trails for the most part, however they do provide a good chunck of change in funding it. If it would not be for them our trails and infrastructure would not be as good as it is therefore we welcome them with open arms!
