"On July 20, she'll start walking 350 miles—from Houlton to Kittery—to bring politics and campaigning back to the local level where it belongs."

I know there's a lot of Republicans in Maine. But objectively, what do you Mainers think about this young woman throwing her hat into the political ring? Will she have backing? Does she have a chance? Even if you don't back her, is there anything you agree with on her platform?

P.S. Anyone joining her on the walk?

I admire her spunk and desire to get involved.

The walk? Seems like a stunt to me. More power to her, but I'm skeptical walking 350 miles through Maine will do much of anything but get her name in the news a few times.

Would I vote for her? I don't know. I checked her website, and nowhere on it does she state her position on any issues. It's all about her background. She looks like a very smart, interesting woman who has devoted her life to serving others, which I find admirable. But before she gets my vote, I want to know how she'll vote if elected.

She's running against a very popular moderate... she has zero chance of even making this a close race.

If it's jobs and the economy she's trying to improve, she'll never do it.

Too naive to understand that economics is cyclical, not linear. We're in a downtrend until the mid 2020's at least. I'm not crazy about the current White House resident, but I can't blame him for this one. It would have come no matter who was the resident.

Bill Cohen did a walk through the 2nd district when he first got elected to statewide office. Sure, throw her hat into the ring, why not. She seems to be quite naive, and will be another party tool, just like all the rest.

Mike Michaud did a walk. Dick Campbell did a walk. Shenna will do a walk. What we have here is a progressive kid trying to unseat a progressive incumbent. Mainers will go with the progressive incumbent.

They are fawning all over her on the Maine reddit, there is a link posted there about her being endorsed by Stephen King.

I read the first sentence in her "about Shenna". That was enough for me. Executive director of the ACLU......loses my vote!

I hope that she doesn't get run over by a logging truck, distracted driver, or rogue bicyclist (hopefully, I've offended a broad range of people ).
