The drift out my back door is half way up the windows on my garage door. That's about 5 feet. On the other end of the garage it is above the door knob of the entry door. On the level at my two snow boards it averaged 16 inches. I rescued my snow boards, lest I not see them again til May.

When the pressure dropped and the temperature dropped with it, just before the storm, the humidity went up. I was exhaling clouds of condensation where I had none an hour earlier. Looked like I was smoking a cigar or something. I blew "smoke rings". I should have taken a selfie.

Default Earlier Today - Dang! It's cold outside!

Currently here in Aurora, ME...-8F Degrees, Dewpoint -15F Degrees, Winds W15mph, Windchill -29F...Windy and snowing....Forecasted High today 0, Low -15....

Not looking forward to repairing our mailbox in this cold a weather! The pole is still out there, but it needs to be reattached! I'm not surprised that the Plowtruck Drive hit it...The weather on the 4th was a white-out! Just thankful he didn't hit something big, like a power pole! I'm sure we all have heard stories about our local Plowtruck Drivers!
Needlesstosay, thankful for another day off from work and the electricit is still on!

The plowtruck left a snow bank up level with our mailbox. Four foot in front of my mailbox.

I was able to pick-up and toss that snow out into the woods. Though it took a few passes for my snow-blower to get all of it.

One of my neighbors with a mailbox up closer to the pavement always has a time with his mailbox. This time the plowtruck spun his mailbox 180-degrees, now it is pointing at his house.

Look around and take notice of the mailboxes that are suspended on chains from a big pole stuck at 45-degrees. They hang at the right height, the plow can smack them into yesterday and they will fall right back into the same spot. Might be a good idea, for next summah.

Some of those mailboxes are a quarter inch thick. They look like ordinary mailboxes.

The plow knocked over and completely buried my mailbox. I couldn’t see any of it at all and just started digging where it was last seen. It seems like we’ve had three months of winter in one month.

Submariner, We too had a 4' snow bank in front of our mailbox! It's decapitated head is still in the basement! Too cold yesterday to reattach..

I've seen those suspended mailboxes on chains, however, the visual of them being smacked was great! LOL!

Yep! Good ideas for summah!

I forget exactly where they are on Route 1, but I'm sure most of you have seen the humorous mailboxes someone had constructed that are some 30' high off the ground. They're larger than life. Anybody know where they are?

I believe there’s one heading north on Route 1 out of Belfast or may actually be in Searsport. You’ll find photos via Google of tall mailboxes in many states.
