We are now up around 155 inches. But no storms in the 10 day forecast, so it would take a miracle to get those last 40 inches in the next couple of weeks.
Doesn't hurt our feelings at all! lol
(I won't complain about how snowy it's been after seeing some pictures of what Mammoth, CA went through recently.......they got 24 feet of snow in February!)

Ice fishing season has been extended until April 21 in the Northern Maine Zone. It was 6 above this morning here in the frost pocket. The lakes are making ice and more snow is forecast for this week. It's tough for the "sugarin off" folks. but at 6 above you can walk on the crust. I hope the snowmobile clubs get their grants extended through April to cover costs of grooming snowmobile trails .

Currently, here in Aurora, ME...46F, Dew Point 46F, Winds -West 14mph. POURING RAIN....Expected Low 29F Degrees...Might be a skating rink tomorrow...We'll see!

The Red-Winged Black Birds (are you aware the Western Red-Winged Black Birds' songs are more complex), returned a couple weeks ago (bringing with them the obnoxious Grackles), but the distraction of the Canadian Geese heading north plesantly distracted me.
The Glaciers that once slid across our meadows, and clung to the edges of our home are just of hint of a memory (except from my bruised and broken toe - the one who stayed home)...
Gary, the Grey Squirrel was caught perching on top of the birdfeeders and was encouraged to move on...
Bits of green from the perrennials I planted are peeking through...
Mud, mud, mud! I saw a vehicle that had the perfect color painted on it - Sparkling Mudd!
Barely missed a moose on Route 9 (considered it a miracle since it paused and turned it's head away from me, while I swevered around it), this week and from becoming a fatality (I was going the speed limit of 50mph)! It was my First sighting of a Moose in Maine..Hopefully, my next sighting will not be anywhere around a road, highway or freeway!
Husband, Jon, healing quickly from his heart surgery and walking now almost a mile and a half a day!
So thankful for the extended daylight...The Birch Meadows looks it's best in the evening light!

Pretty NorEaster happening right now off the coast...I am waiting for Spring here myself. 3 sunny days above 55F is unacceptable for March and April....again. 6 of last 7 yrs. Tired of it.

2:20-6:20am Loop. April 3, 2019.

Back edge entering NYC already so its fast moving.

Wind swept rains for Eastern MA right now.

Snowing north of the coast in Maine and NH and the bulk of the moisture is still to come
