Back to your original post about MA vs. ME, we considered MA (Cape Cod - Eastham specifically) for many years. Our pensions would not be taxed in MA and mostly are in ME, so it would have been economically advantageous (maybe) for us to move to MA. However, our daughter came to ME first and categorically stated that she would not make the trip from ME to Cape Cod due to traffic. We realized that living in a place like Cape Cod, and wanting to have children/friends/grandchildren visit, you would be subjecting them to hours of traffic during the months of summer and any holiday weekend. When we first began to check out Maine, we only thought it was rocky beaches and were very upset. We loved the beaches on Cape Cod. Then, we learned about so many of the beaches here that are beautiful and sandy including Crescent, Willard, Scarborough, Higgins, Ferry and the totally beautiful Popham and Reid further up the coast. We returned to MA this past week to bird watch, and it was very disappointing. We were at Salisbury Beach and Parker Wildlife Refuge (Plum Island). Plum Is. is beautiful, but Salisbury is nothing compared to ME and the towns we were in really didn't appeal to us. We could not be happier living in ME. As I have stated in other posts, if you have a good job in ME, it is an incredible place to live, raise a family and retire.

Massachusetts has terrible traffic as do most cities on an ocean. You can't have a circle or beltways around it. Now they want to have the Summer Olympics there. I hope the committee has more sense than to pick Boston. In addition to the normal congestion, they now have the loony left blocking Interstate highways to protest smog or something.

Where would they have sailing? Boston Harbor? No, it would be on the Cape, which has only two bridges to get there. The only person who wold benefit from this idea would be a T-shirt manufacturer. Hey Berg, is this you? To address the OP, don't' consider moving to eastern Mass until this danger is over.
