This is all just more political malarkey from the extreme right to garner support. Nothing more. Argue with it and you're labeled "unpatriotic" or "socialist." That's actually not true at all. Crime peaked in the early 90's, right about the time concealed carry started gaining popularity.

Take Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago and Baltimore out of the total and we have one of the lowest murder rates in the world. Even with those cities our murder rate is the lowest it has been since 1912.
