Yes, absolutely you can - can you specify number of bedrooms, baths and finished square feet? The median sales price for a home sold in Maine surveyed by the Maine Real Estate Information System was $188,000 in November of 2007.

The people are friendly...don't worry about that.

There are some sandy beaches, but also several rocky and pebbly beaches.

$270,000 can buy a pretty nice home right now..doesn't have to be inland, but obviously it wouldn't be on the water.

We get lots of sunshine...I couldn't stand it otherwise.

Check out the midcoast area...it may be right for you.

Good luck!!

I thnk the YaYa's comes from the movie "The Divine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood" that came out a few years back, dealing with a group of women who remained blood sisters from girlhood through the rest of their lives thru thick and thin so to speak.

Perhaps our own YaYa are keeping their divine secret a secret....but that is the best I can figure. Female bonding and true friendship type of thing. (Now we shall hear if I was right.) Ya Ya? or in Maine is it "Yah Yahs".

I guess it should be "Yah-Yahs" in Maine eh Elston? Yes,... it is from the "Divine Secrets of The Ya-Ya Sisterhood". El, Molly, Corgi, KAF, MaineWriter, DramaMama, MjSL and a few of the Ladies made me think of the charactors in the book. The Divine Secret is That being happy doesn't depend on "things" but on living life, simplifying, and finding some peace within. I sometimes wonder if Molly and El aren't "sisters from other parents. (El is the fresh sister)
any ya-yas I missed I'm sorry
