If you have the federal permits, that's entirely legal in Maine.

I have owned Title 2 firearms for over 20 years. Never had a permit for any of them. Nor is one required.

You have never gotten an ATF Form 4 tax stamp?

Not sure what Title 2 is, but you need permits for Class 3 firearms.

There is no such thing as a "class three firearm" they are title 2/ Nfa. A class three SOT is one of three different types of SOT's one can get to deal in title 2/ NFA items. You also need a corresponding FFL.

To own a title 2/ NFA item form mg's to silencers you need a tax stamp. If you make it yourself ( you can still make any NFA yourself EXCEPT a Machine gun ) you fill out a form 1 and send it in when you get the stamp you make it. For items already made you do a form 4 transfer. You do not need any permits of licenses to own them just a tax stamp.
