Just before Jesus was arrested, He instructed the disciples to buy swords.
Jesus already told them He was gong to be arrested, it was all part of the Fathers plan .
In the garden during the arrest, impulsive Peter cut off the ear of the guard to the high priest, and Jesus told peter to put it away .
The sword was to be purely a defensive weapon, not an offensive weapon.

The whole thrust here, is to comply with the UN agenda 21 since it's inception several presidents ago.
They all know that most crime is done with hand guns , that's not the point of their attack, nor is the government afraid of any one with hand guns.
What they are afraid of is, the point at which government turns against the people more aggressively, and people have something to resist with something they actually do fear.
Military semiautomatic weapons are more of a threat to a corrupt government, than to the people.

Ha.......good luck with .22 ammo anymore. It's sparse everywhere.

Allow me to share this creed with you. It is something that puts firearm ownership into perspective:

I don't carry a firearm to kill people.
I carry a firearm to keep from being killed.

I don't carry a gun to scare people.
I carry a gun because sometimes this world can be a scary place.

I don't carry a gun because I'm paranoid.
I carry a gun because there are real threats in the world.

I don't carry a gun because I'm evil.
I carry a gun because I've lived long enough to see the evil in the world.

I don't carry a gun because I hate government.
I carry a gun because I understand the limitations of government.

I don't carry a gun because I'm angry
I carry a gun so that I don't have to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.

I don't carry a gun because I want to shoot someone.
I carry a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed and not on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.

I don't carry a gun to make me feel like a man.
I carry a gun because men know how to take care of themselves and the ones they love.

I don't carry a gun because I feel inadequate.
I carry a gun because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am inadequate.

I don't carry a gun because I love it.
I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me.

"Police Protection" is an oxymoron. Free citizens must protect themselves.
Police do not protect you from crime. They just investigate the crime after it happens and then call someone to clean up the mess.

Personally, I carry a gun because I'm too young to die and too old to have my butt kicked.

My 83 year old mother-in-law retired as a lieutenant on our local police force. This isn't a tiny town but one of 50,000 residents at the time. During her entire tenure on the force, not once...not one single time did she have to draw her service revolver (which I now own). Times were different. People were different. Now our town is around 40,000 and crime has changed with more violence than we'd seen before, most being imported from Hartford or Springfield. I hope to die never ever having to let one single other human know I'm carrying and now how to use a firearm. But, I won't allow myself to become an unwilling victim.

Dude, you have arrived at the wrong place. Come on down to New York State. You would fit in beautifully down here. What are you waiting for?

"Angered and threatened"? Conversation? Debate?

With you?

Bwahahahahaha!

It's virtually impossible to have a reasonable debate or conversation with someone whose poor spelling indicates a glaring lack of education (showcased by the propensity to use words he can't spell), and who appears to be completely incapable of assembling and presenting a rational, cogent and logical argument.

No one is 'afraid'...just laughing too hard.

Must have been at least a few of them who had some 'faith'. How much good did it do them? Where's your 'Jesus'? Sure hasn't been any sign of him lately.

My gun has proven to be a lifesaver, I'll continue to trust it. 'Jesus' can kiss my rosy red patootie.

I have a few guns. I do not carry on a regular basis any more.

I do a little target practice and a few times each year I need to put down livestock so my wife can butcher them [she enjoys butchering]. A firearm is a very practical tool.

I believe that using a firearm to put down livestock is about the most efficient and humane method available.

There was a time when I carried every day as a feature of my job. I have used a hand gun before against other people who were armed.

From my perspective, nobody prays for peace more than a combat vet. Nobody wants to avoid armed conflict more than a combat vet.

I have lived in two different nations where the common citizen can not possess firearms [3 year duration both times]. Violent crime is higher in both of those nations, than it is here in Maine.

If I perceive that violent crime begins to escalate here in Maine, then I will begin to carry a firearm once again. I do not want to kill any more people. I wish to avoid that scenario as best as I can.

I do not believe that I am being fear motivated. If you think this is about fear, I suspect that you have been listening to the dialog of someone who has been lying to you.

There are people who do want to control others, who want to harm others. There are people who are evil. This is not fear, it is fact.

In reading the article, I do agree with one point that was made about those able to carry. While the prior permit procedure was lengthy, it did insure a few things. It did see to who was carrying the firearm, that they had received training, a background check, domestic violence check.
The concern I would have is someone having an argument with someone and go in and buy a firearm.

I wonder if on the firearms reg. form that the questions are still asked on a few things. One- does the person have felony conviction, valid ID ( and still copied) and several other questions I have long since forgotten.

I can see the concerns that many in the article stated as to some validity areas.

You are assuming that a person went through the state police process, and not through their town selectmen.
