We are contemplating moving to Maine and I was wondering what the construction market looks like it Maine. Currently, I'm a Construction Project Manager in California with 27 years of commercial construction experience. I don't care for California any longer.

Default Re: construction in Maine

Yo need to come here and look around. I know a fellow who moved to the greater Acadia area from extreme northern Maine where he owned a small construction company. He came here to become project manager for one of the old line construction firms in this area...there are a couple of them. After the first year, he found that the promises made when he relocated weren't goning to materialize and he is now an independent building contractor.

Again, you need to come to Maine, travel around and see what is available. The operative consideration is that here in Maine, we have 1.2 milllion people in a state that is larger than all five other New England states put together, and the economy is just as small.
