I use a Garmin Etrex Legend for geocaching and for navigation (when I need it).
Its always with me when I go places, and most of the time when Geocaching a person will need to look at the unit for navigation on the road to help determine the correct road to take to get to the GZ area.

Wife and I each have the Garmin iQue. Garmin software is great, but the battery life in the iQue is terrible and the unit is prone to frequent lock-ups. I recommend the newer Nuvi series. A mid-range model like the 350 will meet most anyone's needs.

We have a built in navigation system in my Jeep. My husband laughed when I wanted it, but we use it so much! We bought a house a couple of years ago, and it was so valuable when trying to find properties. I like just having the map and being able to see where a road comes out, or finding camp roads. I like having it for when we go out of state. We use it a lot more than I ever thought we would.
