(Ie. sell them!)

I had 37 houses saved in my "Favorites" on Realtor.com. (Yes, i peruse other sites also - but i hate making accounts on all of them.) Every day i wake up and check - and at least every 3 days, one of them is either Pending, or SOLD! I do add a few here and there... but not enough to keep up!

I will be listing my house within a month hopefully, here in NJ, but in the meantime i need more to choose from.

I want to OWN Waterfront, minimum 2 BR, would LIKE minimum 1.5 BA, would LIKE privacy (ie. either no neighbors nearby lol, or some acreage). I will look at anything on the coast or on a peninsula that i can get for under $150K. Yes, i know it's tough. But i can't make any offers etc. before i sell my house because i need the cash from it to buy. I'm getting a CMA next week; it's paid off, i'm on Disability Retirement, so i probably wouldnt qualify for any loan if i needed it. Any thoughts or ideas? Or should i post this in the Real Estate part of the Forum. Thanks, Jill

(Also, i see that many go for MUCH less than the asking price, so i will look at something that's listed for more than $150K.)

Edited to add: Most in this range are in Washington Co. it seems, and that is fine.

I logged-onto Zillow and did some searches. Now they email me every day with new listings that fit my criteria.

We bought another property last November. Zillow helped us a lot.

The house I want in Eastport that was owned by one of my great uncles has gone down to $110,000 and has an upstairs apartment where my great grandmother lived. It is one of 7 houses my relatives owned on Water St. one is still occupied by my dad's cousin.

Yes, we had been looking at 4-plex apartment complexes for a few years. Then we jumped on a couple buildings downtown that we are refurbishing.

Would you consider a house on a lake? If so, this opens up many more options.

I can count on one hand the sub 150k single-family lakefront homes in NH. Could be worse!

Ha! I've been looking at Eastport real estate too. Including that unit on Water Street you've been looking at that backs up to the Chowder House.

However, my dream house is a few blocks closer to Eastport's bustling and swanky downtown area, but still on Water Street. It's currently selling for $125k. 4 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, with a circular staircase off the foyer. People will know you have ARRIVED, both literally and socially, when you descend that staircase. All that house needs is a garage.

If the town is near the coast. Really near. Also consider rivers.

I'm assuming that $150.000 is your down payment and your going to finance the other $500.000, right?
