What kind of work do you do?

The minimum wage in Maine is $9.00 per hour. That will increase by $1 per year up to $12.00 in 2020.

Mount Desert, Maine

Presuming your an Ethnic Minority, Mount Desert, Maine, is the most welcoming community in Maine for minorities as well as non English Speaking or multilingual speaking residents.

That is surely true, but you know as well as I do, that the number of winter jobs available unless you work for the Labs or the College is exceedingly small. There is plenty of menial labor in the summer but that pretty much cuts off after October 15 until about May 30.

And, finding a place to live on the island if you don't buy is also pretty hard.

When I rented my house in Bar Harbor 10 years ago, before I eventually moved here 6 years ago, after putting an add in the Ellsworth times, the Davis Agency has more than 100 calls about it.
