Watch out for the “carabines”. Those are bottles in the shape of a musket. They contain “fortified” wine.

Quebec City feels like Europe with its cobblestone streets and stone buildings. FYI ask for an English menu.

A friend of mine before I went said "There's a whole country up there". It gave me a new perspective of things.

I'm going to have to pick one of those up.

My Mother went to the winter festival in Quebec on a bus tour back in the late 80's, She came back with a plastic cane with a removable top, It smelled strongly of Canadian Whiskey.

I'm looking forward to the trip, But will definitely be putting new tires on the car.

Not everyone can afford the extra cost of a garage. Some people buy a house, build up equity then add a garage later on.... attached is preferable. I've known of unattached garages that were heated with a wood stove. Please... No attacks about safety issues involved heating a garage with wood. To me the biggest plus to having a garage is not having to clean snow off your vehicle. ... presuming you were smart enough to park it in the garage before it snowed. I met someone who thought a car battery would die from leaving a car door open long enough to run into a convenience store.
