Well, out of four places I interviewed in Maine - I got four rejects! I don't think I'll ever make it up there. I was so excited to be up there and when we had to fly back home, I just cried and cried for having to leave. For those of you lucky enough to be realizing your dreams - please be thankful and enjoy every minute you have.

Keep applying. It may take MANY more applications up here...but you WILL get a job and being in Maine is worth it. Even if it is a "get by job" untill you find on you really want.

Keep on keeping on, my friend!
Job opportunities are the only reason we're not in Maine already. Eventually, perhaps as early as late spring or early summer, we will move to Maine without jobs. By then we will have enough money saved to last a year and I'll still have a couple of choice remodeling projects to commute back here to NH for.
By then I hope to have built enough contacts and networked enough in Maine to be employed there.
Keep focused and positive and I know you'll find something! Best of luck

I am so sorry to hear that. I live here and I have found the job market can be pretty tough, but the advice from the others is good: keep trying. It may take more work than you expect. I wish you felt better. Just think of it as a test run and now you have a little more information and a few more contacts. Hang in there.
