Advertisements

I know we aren't supposed to advertise for anyone on here, so this can be by Direct Message, no problem.

If you live north of Bangor, doesn't matter East or West, and have a link to your area newspaper, could you send it to me?

DH needs to start seriously looking at job listings for all possible locations and, since we don't know the names of the smaller newspapers, this would be a great help.

Thanks in advance

Actually, links to local newspapers in answer to a poster's request wouldn't be considered advertising.

Please feel free to post them on the open forum if yoou wish.

You can find a list of all the daily and weekly newspapers in Maine at:

New England Press Association (http://www.nepa.org/Newspaper%20Directory/maine.htm - broken link)

You will also find that very few, maybe none, of the papers north of Bangor have websites. You'll have to phone, e-mail, or snail-mail requests for single copies or subscriptions.

That's what I was afraid of. I've had the BDN online since we moved out here but, having never spent any significant time north of Bangor, I didn't know the names of the papers.

Thanks for your help!

Our local paper is the Penobscot times. They have no WWW presence.

The other one is the 'rolling thunder':
