The Region3 Vocational School in Lincoln has an award winning culinary arts program. This Monday, November11, they will put on a breakfast for veterans. Memorial Day is when we honer those who died in service to our country. November 11 used to be called Armistice Day. Now it is called Veterans Day and for those of us who survived, it is party time.

You veterans of all ages, including active duty, mark it on your calendar. 7 to 10 AM on West Broadway in Lincoln, just west of the railroad tracks is Region 3. You will be welcome. No charge.

Wish I could have attended one of the events...but despite having been involuntarily medically retired more than 35 years ago, I still work for a living and had to work that day.
