They're going to be past peak here by the weekend in most spots. My son bought some broccoli yesterday as he said he was tired of the fiddleheads! These spolied kids! I may go once more for some fresh ones. I love 'em

Each area has a different season. Most of them have not thought about coming up here yet.

Last year at market, I was still picking and selling, when the season for other vendor's had long ended.

But then this year, it does not look like I will be able to get into a market until the last week of the month.

We Florida natives who've been fortunate enough to enjoy fresh fiddleheads, say: "You dogs, we hate you!" Fiddleheads are the best! Yum, Yum!

I was out picking this morning form 8am to 11am. I only got about three pounds.

In this area the pickings are very thin.

I saw them in Shaws in Bangor for $5 a pound today. They did not look nearly as nice as the ones in Forest Beekeeper's bucket that I saw yesterday!

I'm not kiddin' forest if you have a market for them you should take a drive down. I can hook you up with a ton of them and you can make some good money on them!

I'd pick a pile of them but I have nowhere to sell them! Well worth a trip if you're not getting a crop this year!
