You are right about the auto dealerships. County families have bought their vehicles from the same salesmen for generations. That's a hard nut to crack. That said, if your wife will be working in a field where she meets the public frequently the locals will adopt you. They know they need people in Aroostook County and every family contributes to the overall economic health of the County. They want you to make it.

Thank you Northern Maine Land man! Kind of what we were hoping. I'm going into the service end of the dealership but I guess the same applies. My wife has received the most amazing support from her future employer and I am hopeful I see the same when I get in the COunty! We are busy here getting ready for our trip-planning on RV'ing it until our house sells in RI. I'm looking forward to it as a incredible adventure. I'll have to start rubbing elbows with the locals as soon as I get there.

Decision day iscoming soon. I have talked to local area car dealers in Aroostok Cty but still do not have a job offer. What about truck driving-I can get a CDL. Is there a market or need for drivers in Aroostook county without being gone 3 weeks of the month? I need to make this work...
