I know this is the off-topic thread, so am going to post a couple of photos here of my new "home" state.
We have gorgeous sunsets here.

Pretty sky, Alison! I'm so glad you're liking it there. Are there things you miss about Maine?

Just my friends and family.
Its so nice to sit out on the patio and not be bothered by mosquitos, blackflies, ect.
The people here are very friendly, so that has made the move so much easier.

Little tree on the desert (not unlike the little house on the prairie).

No it didn't blow too far. The weird thing was it was the old twenties that we used to see all the time before the new ones came out a few years ago. I haven't seen an old twenty in quite a while. There could have been more though, as I did not scour the parking lot.

Alison, I LOVE those pictures! The desert is so pretty! I'd love to see NM some day! I loved the deserts AZ and NV last year, I thought they were amazing. NM is on my list, as is TX. I've always wanted to go to a "Dude Ranch".

" Shoulda' been a cowboy. Wearing my 6 shooter, riding those ponies on a cattle drive."

Okay I'll stop singing now.
