Fire to me is the hardest thing to watch- it to my home when I was a teen. Loosing everything including the pets you love is very hard. I feel for those who are directly affected by this.
Just visited the burn-site this past weekend, lots of new growth happening although still very evident that a fire happened here. Anyone know anything about the big brown place that sits up on the hill overlooking the southwest off the new Howard Lake Rd? You don't see it untill you head back towards Mt Holly Rd. It seems to have very narrowly escaped being lost in the fire! We we're wondering about that place, and are curious to learn if it is a residence or an observatory of sorts. Anyone in the know please post back. Thanks!
