Hi all, we are relocating to ME from AZ in a week. We are currently faced with the daunting task of a 3400 mile drive with 3 kids and 3 large dogs. We will, however, be traveling in 2 vehicles thankfully. We are going to be living in Caribou in a house we've only seen in pictures. The landlord is a realtor and it was his home that he raised his family in, but it's behind his office so this should be interesting. So you all will soon have 2 more vehicles with out-of-state plates (NM) in your state.

A little info here? How about some background on what made you decide to move, and so forth? What is your plan?

As somebody who might be moving to Maine, I'm always curious to hear about others from the West and what is driving them to move East...especially when most of the Sheeple are moving to the West...

My husband's employer is transferring him. We did have several choices for where we would like to go, and we picked a few places in Maine. Our other choices were ND and MT. I think we're getting the better of the 3.

Default Know how you feel

We made the trip (2500 miles from Austin, Tx) with a whole carload of cats and dogs. Advice-get some medication from your vet for those pets who don't travel well in the car! Hopefully you will plan ahead and find hotels that take pets (the LaQuinta and Days Inn have been our best finds). Good Luck!!!!!!
