Tide Mill Farms has been delivering organic raw whole milk every Thursday to our front porch for about a buck more per gallon than regular milk at the IGA. The family drinks 5-6 gallons a week, so it fills up half of the refrigerator, but what a luxury. We have never had any go bad because an open jug never lasts more than a day, but I'm thinking with the produce winding down that the end of deliveries for the year is upon us. We'll have to start driving out to Edmunds pretty soon.

When I was retiring from the Navy, I was required to attend a one week school on how to be a civilian [called: TAPP]. During that school one of the many things that we discussed was the possibility of setting up an allotment with our pay, for a sum to go directly to a liquor store. Each month a set amount of money could go directly to a liquor store for a pre-arranged delivery. We spent some time debating what exactly should be in such a standing order.

We developed orders such as: 10 rum, 10 everclear, and a bottle of wine [for your health]

The discussion ended in a debate of whether or not you would be expected to tip the delivery person. And if it would be legal to ask for a female delivery person.

Just order on line, choose what I want..........and whaaaala......groceries at my door!!
