Yes, the "old" Navy hospital was in Kittery, Me. I only know this because I was born, at home, in Wells, Me, (1937)and had to be rushed down there, at 6 mos. of age, because of a mastoid infection! Of course, I don't remember the occasion, but was told about it, many times, by my parents. So if you were born at the Navy hospital, in Kittery, then you are a "born Maniac", like me - -congratulations! I now live in Colorado and, like you, miss New England. It's "in our blood"; I go back every chance I get and spend time in Maine! Your official birth record would be on file, in Augusta, the state capital.

I was born on the same base in Aug 1961. My birth certificate looks exactly like yours. I've always said my birth place is Kittery Maine. Did you ever get the info you needed? I need to order another copy of my birth certificate as well..
