He didn't. When he got to the store he found out he didn't need it.

I haven't thought too much about it. I don't want to keep it on the hide. Taylor came home from practice tonight and thought our biggest dog was out. Good thing she knew about him before she got home.

Well if you don't need it, I have a use for it...

That's funny... How much bigger than the dog is the little bear?

He's smaller than Sebastian. He and his sibling and mother were nuisance bears. You can't relocate them this time of year and they were causing too much damage to wait it out until they hibernated. I'll talk to Steve about saving the head when he skins it out today.

I would think it would be cool to keep the claws, too, if possible.

Would you like them if I don't keep them on the hide? I think I could remove them.

Star, Steve said, "ooohkkkkkkk...." so yes, he'll save the head for you.

Certainly! And tell Steve thanks... If I were closer or didn't have work eating up so many days I'd be glad to come help skin it. I've taken lots of critters apart, but never a bear...

DM me when I need to come up and collect my treasure!

Thanks, but I'll pass on the claws,MW. Seems like it wouldn't be "right" unless I earned it native style...you know, harvesting one myself.

It's a great honor to have a hunter give you the claws from his bear! It empowers you and the great hunting spirit will shine on you when ever you wear the claws in the field!

I just weighed him - 70 pounds, smaller than my biggest dog.
