Alright my Eastport friends, what's it like up there tonight?

Our youngest daughter had her 15th birthday party tonight. I had to car pool all of them back home and noticed as I came back down the mountain to the area we live in it was 18 degrees outside!!!! Ack!!!! I have to deal with that kind of cold and no snow. Now that just doesn't seem fair!!

So, what's it like up there? What is everyone doing tonight? We raked about an acre and a half of leaves and burned them. Kept us warm raking and warmed us up real well as they burned!!

We've got a nasty cold front moving in. It's going to be 9 degrees tomorrow with the windchill here on the Cape. We're getting snow squalls off the water tonight. Where I am on the Cape, we're 30 miles out into the sea and at its widest point, the Cape is only 6 miles across, so it doesn't take much to gussy up the weather down here. COLD isn't the word for it. FREAKIN' FREEZIN is more appropriate!!!! This is the weather we normally get in January or February. NEVER in November!!!!

I hope my yard hoses and connections don't snap from freezin. I'm going to have to go out tomorrow and see if I can warm them up enough with a blow torch to get the hoses unscrewed. Then I can let everything drain before they freeze up totally. At least I hope so. That's my plan! lol

It's a regular winter wonderland. It's snowing right now and Eastort and Maine Writer are due for 2 to 4 inches.

Wink Winter is here!

The white stuff is accumulating - the warm weather (brief as it is here) is finally gone. From here on we'll battle with snow blowers and multilayers of clothes!

Thanks for the weather updates all. I'd happily layer up with clothes in exchange for the folks and the water. Bummer....
