Hello I was wondering if anyone knew any good inexpensive wedding officiants, notaries, ministers. I am getting married August 30, 2009 and every wedding officiant I have found costs over $200 dollars. I am just having a non religous ceremony at Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth. Any help at all would be appreciated. Thank you!

Call the Cape Elizabeth town office and ask for recommendations. That is how we found the JP who married us in Boothbay Harbor and it only cost $60.00. That was 10 years ago, but even allowing for inflation, it shouldn't be $200.

Ask a close friend or relative to take the necessary steps and become a notary and have them officiate. It would make it much more personal.

Any Notary in Maine can perform weddings.
On my boat all weddings are valid for the duration of the voyage.

ayuh.... well I'm a catch and release girl myself....
I've never had anyone who wasn't a FRIEND officiate.... no sense in diving in without all the help you can get.
