Power was out all night until 3:00 this afternoon. Yay! Went out for our walk - here are some pictures I took around 4:30 today. . . it truly was a winter wonderland.

Our mailbox could not be cleared out by a snowblower...definitely a job for the shovel today...

I clear a path on front of mail boxes.

Today a neighbor called me and asked if I would do their driveway. On my way over there, I observed an elderly lady walking behind a self-propelled snow-thrower. She looked like she was walking a walker. But she was out there!

I can scoop up and remove the snow up to about a foot from each vehicle. Then move each vehicle to clear the parking space.

With a front loader I pick up the snow and put it somewhere else. So I am not limited to pushing it.

It's amazing how popular somebody is when he can blow snow about 50 feet and the driveway gets too narrow for a pickup to plow it. Even better when the pickup can't back out because the snow fell in around it. If you are going to plow 2 feet of snow you ought to use chains on all 4 tires.
I think my plow guy figured that out... not sure though as he went home to get chains on and didn't get back. I busted drifts to get out to work and shoveled and Subaru-plowed some to get back in. POed at myself because I forgot to take the darn shovel in the car and had to walk to the house to get it.

OOOO....great photos, BoundtoFind! Thx for posting 'em.

Where in Downeast are you? I'm currently looking at property in Tremont. MDI is beckoning me now. I want to sell my Cape property veddy, veddy much, but am grateful to have a roof over my head these days.

I hear ya.....reminds me of when I'm shoveling myself from house to barn only to find out that the flippin' barn doors have to be shoveled out before I can open 'em. And I have to pee and I have my jumpsuit on and, and, and......

Love snow but currently none on the ground in CT so I love the pictures. My Ford really misses not having any snow to move around.

We've still got about 3' in all the places where it wasn't plowed or shoveled. That doesn't even count the drifts or snow piles...they'll be here through May probably.
