Just don't try to back up or turn in too tight a circle and you should be ok! Don't ask me how I know that, though...

Also, I found that stepping sideways down a snowplowed snowbank beats the heck out of getting over it any other way.

Now, to get snowshoes for the dog...

Far exceeded your expectations?

You expected less?

Nope. Our expectations were high, yet we've still been blown away by the kindness we've received. That's pretty cool.

So much for all the warnings from nay sayers over the past couple of years!

Give me an update on furniture truck status this evening, if you can. The hand truck (dolley) has been extracted from beneath the dead water heater and is awaiting delivery.

I am, at this point, planning to bring it up regardless, knowing it will find its way home at some point, via someone.

Not sure how much actual moving help I will be as today I am in "just hang on and survive it" mode after a late nigh last night, followed by lack of sleep, a crazy-early trip to Dover-Foxcroft, a mid-day trip to Bangor and I have an evening at the store to look forward to. LOL

But I am sure the heavy-duty hand truck will be quite useful, even if I am less so...

K was wondering (looking at the drifting snow outside) if Down East got worried every time central Maine gets snow... he was thinking of how in the Bible they keep looking to the West and see the plagues of locusts coming. LOL I wondered aloud if I shouldn't just stuff the subaru with snow, save it the trouble of blowing in...

If the truck gets there for Thursday morning unloading Steve will help us with the heavy things before leaving for a meeting. It looks like he'll be around for a while Friday too. I can bring the dolley back when I see you at the end of the month. Won't it be nice if by this time tomorrow the truck is empty!

Hi Eli and travelers. I am very new to the forum but picked up you when I saw that you arrived in Maine! I was in Maine for several and attended The Univirsiy of Maine in Machais. Maine is wonderful and there is no place like it in the USA. Very cold in the Winter. Didn't mean to put in, but I wish you muh happiness back in Maine!
