Fairpoint wasn't in Baileyville when you moved here Gussie. The sale had gone through, but not all the services were active until January of THIS YEAR. Please, do some homework, and you'll see what I'm saying.

When was the changeover? No-one can seem to agree on that point at Fairpoint....some say end of January...some say Feb 10th. No wonder no-one there has a damn clue what's going on!

Well, when we had computer trouble back in late December/early January and called Fairpoint, we were told to call Verizon because they hadn't taken over that end of it yet.

Sunday night/Monday Feb 9th was when they 'switched over' the equipment from Verizon. I know this because that's when my Internet went down and they told me the switch happened on Sunday night.

That sounds right to me. When we came up on our house hunting trip in late Jan/early Feb, they hadn't changed over yet.

Yep, Drama, I'll be working on them more tomorrow! This phone that we've finally had installed sounds so bad we can hardly talk on it because of the buzzing on the lines. The other night, during the rain and wind (the first day it was actually connected) we lost service altogether. If this continues and can't be corrected to our satisfaction, we'll be turning it off and going back to plan B and adding a 3rd cell line to keep at the house for emergencies.
