Pumping project from 5+ inches of rain. I had breakfast with an old farmer and he figures that in his lifetime we have had two or three of these in June and this guy is older than I am.

Got an email from my older son, who is fishing in the Florida Keys for a month. He is a paramedic/fireman and takes his vacation all at one time. He works for people all year long during the holidays, and collects his days back when he takes vacation.

My wife insists that there is no such thing as Father's Day Presents, just cards are handed out. Mother's Day is different though because it is more of a celebration of mom/wives.

I'll be lucky if I get a card...but oh if I miss her birthday, mothers day, anniversary, teachers day, St Patty's Day, etc...I am in big trouble. Pretty one sided at this house.

I have one myself. Time is not critical. I'll just use the submersible sump pump.

I would actually put that as a close second, but trust me on this, it's not exactly what a Dad wants. The first is rest and relaxation of sorts from the Mrs (he, he, he)

I am actually kind of bummed. My wife and foster daughter went to MA for the weekend leaving me alone. No rest for the wicked I guess, I even had to do the dishes...now that is pretty sad considering everything else that has to be done on the farm. Rest and relaxation of either kind would have been nice today, but it didn't happen.
