I saw a lot of Moose in Rangeley in the spring. In the early morning and late evening, they hang around the side of the roads eating the salt that collects on the plants. I saw many less than 20 yards from the roadway.

Yuppers. Tons of moose on the roads around Moosehead lake. Always see moose on the Golden Road. Two black bears and seven moose, one cow with calf last month.

Enjoy!

I'll show you how next time you're riding with me.

As soon as my sister is out of work this morning we're heading north to look for moose and other critters.

This is why I usually make Brad drive everywhere we go, and he doesn't complain! I did a U-turn in the middle of Rt 1 the other day when I spotted a huge crane in the water at Moosehorn. He nearly had a stroke! Brad - not the crane...

aw! you got to see a Blue Heron!

Great Blue Heron - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I love them.... when they walk in the water I think they look very graceful. Huge wingspan!
