I just heard on a financial news show late last week the gas prices are stabilizing and won't be rising any further the remainder of the summer.
The Donald (ugh!) was just on Greta and said OPEC is causing the price issue, not the speculators, and it's a disgrace because our elected officials have done and are doing nothing about it. He continued to say, OPEC laughs at our stupidity and our elected officials stupidity... and that they (OPEC) are driving this country into the ground.
That, coupled with all this rain... I think I'll go hid under my blankets... at least I can rely on my own body heat... lol

We can put people on the moon but we can't develop the oil from the shale fields in this country. The largest supply in the world and that would make us forget where Saudi Arabia and Venezuela even were and we can't develop it. Imagine how cheap our fuel would be and how many jobs would be created if oil was drilled from the shale fields and refined in the good old U.S. of A.?

Might work in Phoenix but it's way to cold, rainy ,icy and snowy up here for that kind of vehicle! I've had my motorcycle out of the garage twice this year. Tomorrow is July 1! No summer here this year!

Gas hit a high of $2.67 out here last week and then dropped back down to $2.59 yesterday. Interesting given the holiday weekend coming up.

Gas prices tend to follow the inverse of the US dollar. The US dollar was gaining significantly against other currencies until the last couple of months. Now that the Dollar is seeing weakness gasoline is climbing.

The absolute worst part is the fact that it has ethanol blended in it. For me, paying 2.63 a gallon for 90% gas, 10% ethanol is like paying $3.50 a gallon for 100% gasoline, because I go from 24 miles to the gallon on regular gas, to 18 on that corn whiskey.
