Does anyone know when hurricane Bill is expected to hit Maine?

Predictions?

Any news is appreciated.

See thread titled:Keep a Weather Eye on Bill.
They are predicting some high seas and maybe some beach erosion on Cape Cod. Maybe landfall in Nova Scotia as a category 1 storm.
The ocean water is cold for this time of year and once the storm hits that cold water it should peter out quickly.

Just watched the 11 pm news for Boston. Here on the Cape we'll get some strong wave action and beach erosion.. probably lose a house or two in Chatham, and get some rain. Not supposed to be much of a problem.

Tonight is the 18th anniversary of Hurricane Bob... that was wild!!!!!!!!

Maybe you'll go and help fill sand bags to protect The Chatham Squire?

When do the first drops of rain start? Am planning an outdoor party Saturday afternoon (should be over by 7) in Bath and am wondering if we can wrap it up before any raindrops fall.

I imagine the local color will be filling the seats in there this weekend! The high surf along the outer beach is *always* impressive when there's a storm a fair distance out at sea. I don't know where I've lain my digital camera. That's a not so fun thing about middle age. lol CRS!!!! It's somewhere so safe I can't find it and now I need it!!!!

When we decide we need to put something in a safe spot we should realize that might be the last time we see it again!
