Maine electric rates to skyrocket - Central Maine

I wasn't aware that Mainers could shop for their electricity provider; no such luck here in my neck of the SoCal desert.

New England pays the highest in the U.S. overall, but Maine pays the lowest in New England -- at least until the new rates go into effect.

If you just read it, check the date on that paper, it must have been an old copy from 2009.

Only one state has an 'Excise' tax. So yes that state excise tax is the highest excise tax.

Other states may have road taxes, registration taxes, licensing taxes, sales taxes, and more.

When we moved to Maine, our annual costs to keep our vehicles on the road dropped. Your results may vary.
