The need for appraisers should grow. There is a new pawn shop open in Lincoln for the first time in 100 years. It's a sign of the times. At the same time, the only jewelry store in town closed after some 80 years in business.

For all who have viewed this and/or answered my post. While I may not be able to do jewelry appraising as a full-time gig, I have other skills, as well that I would hope might be useful in Maine. I am also a non-profit executive so if anyone knows of anyone or might have some referrals, I would certainly appreciate the input.

Thanks to all!
