We have dogs, we let the dogs out loose a few times each night and the skunks stay away. Of course that also means that every now and again, our dogs stink. Or they get quills stuck in their noses.

From our habit of allowing our dogs out to run each night, they have came back on occasion smelling of skunk, and on occasion with quills in their noses.
Once when our cat Felix was in heat she went out for a couple nights and when she came back she had quills stuck in her. [she also had gotten pregnant]
a cross between a chicken and a duck? Is that called a chuck? (hmmm.... maybe a ducken?)
