Wishing everyone all the best in 2010! We'll be spending New Years Eve sipping margaritas, eating things that are bad for us, and watching movies. Then at midnight we'll watch the ball drop, and then probably off to bed. (We're getting old!) What's everyone else doing??

Happy New Year to you too.

I'm reasonably certain I'll be up stoking the woodstove, but other than that, I'll be tucked in at home. I guess I'm rather boring that way.

We're usually hanging out at home too, but for our first new year's in Maine, we're gong to a party at a friend's house. They are in the same town, but still a short drive away. I think they're having a big bonfire. Should be a fun time.....not too cold....hopefully we'll be able to see the full moon between the snowflakes.

On New Year's Day, I'll be glued to the tv watching the Rose Parade and then college football all day long.

Happy New Year to Mainers and wanna-bes!!!!

My tradition is to give the house a thorough cleaning on the last day of the year so that's what I'll be up to.

I don't "celebrate" per se, but I do make sure to have a cabbage in the house at the turn of the calendar. We'll eat it tomorrow, and lots of lettuce as well (with thoughts of abundance and prosperity) for our noon meal before I head to work at the store.

We are in Missouri, but with luck this is our our last New Years in this house. We were in bed but I was awakened by fireworks at midnight. I cleaned a little this morning have a friend coming to dinner tonite. We do black eyed peas and collard greens, along with a nice roast. Sitting with my doxies catching up on news and looking at the snow falling.

(a day late and dollar short) Happy New Year Everyone!

In a few months, we will be moving up to Maine....after the snow melts and its a tad safer on the roads .. as well as the kids finishing up this school year.

New Year's Eve...hubby worked til 10 pm ( he has 2nd job part time at a liquor store down here) and after he got off work, we shot fireworks for the kids ( are fireworks legal in Maine...or no? the kids asked me about this one lol ) and went to bed around 2am'ish. Not a woohoo big party or anything...we are home bodies. hehe

Be safe this year and here's to a very prosperous 2010!!!!

((back to the fireworks question....we spent an easy $100 on some for new years eve...hubby and I figured this would be the last time we bought any, but I wanted to see if they are sold in Maine or not? We have firework stands all over the place in Moss Point Mississippi. Thanks for any replies!))
