A friend's daughter has more snow in Texas than I have here! I am enjoying a mild winter but I do want enough snow to go sliding. We haven't had a sandpit sliding party yet this winter.

We are down from usual levels here in the County, but we do have a couple of feet on the ground. Hopefully we'll get some more but not too much lol.....(we're still recovering from the 200 inches that we got two winters ago!)

I think it has a lot to do with the el nino / la nina thing.. we changed over a few months ago from el nino (i think) which had brought unusually high amounts of moisture for the last couple of years.. remember all that rain and snow..

So I think we can look forward to a dryer winter and and hotter and dryer (LONGER ) summer

Even though most stuff written about this shows it having more of an effect on the southern part of the USA (look at DC) I think it does effect us quite a bit up here too

So I dont know about you but I am loving it and hope we can get at least a few years of this!! besides.. Iam sure we'll still see some snow before its over

I think it's all been sent to West Virginia - snowiest winter record about to be broken by the next snowstorm this weekend.

Hello, My dear Maine friends. It is snowing here in PA, again, and we are due in for more snow for the next few days. Looks like the snow came here, instead of up your way. I LOVE it! So beautiful, and I feel like I am getting a great workout, as the snow is still a little over knee-deep, here. I hope that Maine will have a pleasant spring/summer season, at I hope to be settled in, and getting used to things, by then. I am very excited, and as I have posted elsewhere, I think that this is my chance to see that I can deal with all of the snow, while tending my small farm. So far so good! Cannot wait to meet some of you kind folks, too! Your posts have been very helpful and encouraging! Thank you!!! Hope this post isn't too off topic...
