How about sharing the most beautiful place in Maine? Give a sentence or two of explanation to share the experience. Although it is great to talk about your hometown, please include at least one OTHER place, so we know it is not just cheerleading...

Having a great time in Google Earth checking out these places. They are beautiful! I was particularly blown away by Moosehead Lake, it must be a canoers, kayakers paradise. I could imagine its depths also hold some mighty pike and muskie..!

I have a harder time deciding which peninsulas are the most gorgeous. Pemaquid looks iconic, yet they all seem so majestic to me. Funny, out west, they talk about Big Sur, in central California, as being the greatest meeting of land and water in the world. Oregon Coast too. Sure, their pretty as all get out, but when I went to Ireland, I was blown away by the sea cliffs and peninsulas of Counties Kerry and Donegal and the islands and islets of Clew Bay. And Skellig Michael is otherworldly. It seems like Maine might just have more peninsulas, coastal islands, and harbors than Ireland or the whole West Coast, from Baja to Puget Sound, Washington. Amazing! Keep 'em coming! Love learning about your state!
