I live in Florida right now. I'm getting tired of watching out for snakes, alligators, and bears! I was wondering if there were any poisonous or harmful animals in a typical neighborhood in Anne Arundel or Baltimore County.

Does poison ivy count? That's about all I can think of.

Deer ticks? An occasional opossum or fox?
Nothing compared to Florida, that's for sure!

There are copper heads, an occasional water snake, depending on how far ya want to travel you could probaly find a rattlesnake. We've got some neat bats, a bald eagle or 2 and some quick sand in northern Anne Arundle county but not anything compared to FL. Bad drivers are our worst beast!

Humans are the most dangerous critters on the planet, by far. Watch out!

I haven't been in Florida too long. I don't know anything about other cities in Florida. But here in Palm Coast, I've seen a couple of alligators in the canal - right behind my house. My sister saw she guesses a mother and baby sunning in the middle of the day on the sidewalk near the main road. My niece saw one walking down the road - now it was in the middle of the night - but still - not what I want to have on my street! I have heard of a couple of people walking along water with their dog or fishing with their dog and an alligator came up without warning and ate their dog!

I live in Columbia and we use Terminex: nada, zero critters, not even for the most squeamish of folks
