My fiance and i, currently rent from a family member's basement in odenton, and are looking into purchasing our first place. i work in linthicum and he is in grad sch in baltimore. we found the condomuniums off frederick road, and since they are affordable we are considering buying there. Does anyone have any information about the area or live there? any information would be greatly appreciated

Seems to be a nice community and it is just inside Baltimore City adjacent to the Catonsville area. Since it is new and somewhat secluded I dont have alot of info on it.. Frederick Road has some issues the further in as you get closer to downtown but not in the stretch where this development is located. My only comment or concern would be what happens to the condos 5 or 10 years from now?? The downtown condo market may certainly recover, but I am not sure about the market in other parts of the City where there may not be as much of a draw (i.e. employment centers or shopping etc) . The other issue is that taxes in the city are higher in the County. I live in the City and encourage those who want to live in the City to do so.... the down turn in the market make it a tougher sell with the taxes (income and property). The other issues is would the building eventually become a rental community??? which could be ok or bad depending on the quality of the tenants?? Just my 2 cents

Wyndholme Woods is a covenant community and has rules regarding the number of renters in the community. Only 25% of the residents are allowed to be renters.
