Hi to all,

What elementary schools and middle schools feed into the following high schools in Howard County: Centennial, Atholton, and Mount Hebron?

I will like to know what neighborhoods (include zipcodes) in Howard County (preferably Columbia & Ellicott City) have great performing public schools.

Thanks in advance!

Howard County does not track elementary schools and middle schools into specific high schools. At our elementary school, the kids are assigned to three different middle schools and two different high schools. The positioning of the schools across the county does not make it possible to assign kids like that, and I believe the school board is also concerned that it would lead to oversized high schools.

It is best to check specific addresses and their assignments using this link: http://www.hcpss.org/sl/sysbush0.php

I can give you an idea of the schools for Centennial because that's my area. I may have forgotten something, but this is a pretty good guess.

Centennial Lane ES - in its entirety, I think.
Veterans - maybe all, not sure.
Approx half of Northfield (Dunloggin, Grey Rock Farms and Frederick Rd neighborhoods)
Waterloo - the Wheatfield area only

For Mt. Hebron, I think it's most or all of St Johns Ln and Hollifield Station.

You can get a pretty good idea of the others by playing with the attendance area maps on the school system website. Howard County Public School System

Subject to change at any time, of course. ;0
