Hi everyone,

We are a family of 5 (my wife & I, 3 children) and are temporarily living in south TX. I'm a web developer so we have the privilege of not worry about commuting or being forced to a particular location to live - we can literally live anywhere we want since I work from home and have been for the past # of years.

My wife has a cousin and her husband who live in Waldorf and we're close to them - we have a lot in common and enjoy the same quality of life as they do. We have been debating where to move to when we're ready to leave TX, which may be possibly next summer. We would like to be close to them, but we've spent a few weeks looking at different areas (online of course) in MD but can't seem to find the right place.

We are definitely looking for some of the following:

1: Great schools for our kids
2: Good opportunity to build a local web design/marketing/development agency
3: Looking to rent at first, and understand for a descent house we're looking at 2-2.5k a month (4/2/2/2000+ sq ft min) - will buy a house when we have enough cash saved up for a big down-payment
4: Good neighborhoods/places for shopping/eating/activities

These are our 4 top priorities that we're looking at when we move - #2 would be necessary if I want to push my business in making over 7 figures (currently on my own I'm making 130K+ a year).

Any ideas?

Thanks!

If you're really OK with S Texas (by that I mean a town like Edinburg not S Padre Is)...
and you "have a lot in common and enjoy the same quality of life" as your friends in Waldorf...
then your hunting is done.

Hello, I would suggest anywhere south of Waldorf, like LaPlata ; unless you like gobs of people and bad traffic.
