Hey everyone was wondering if anyone could recommend good apartments/townhomes in Hagerstown? My fiance will probably get the job in Frederick he interviewed at today and a lot of people had recommended Hagerstown. We like Frederick but have found the prices to be too high! I've called SouthView and FountainView Townhomes. Are they any good? Any other recommendations?

Also any places in frederick, my sister in laws bf is getting a sheriffs job in Frederick Co. and so he needs to live there but prices are so high. They are looking more for House Rentals rather than complexes.

Thanks for any help!!

Meadows Apartments in Hagerstown are nice, and were pretty decent priced. Right off of I 70, 20 minutes to Frederick. I see lots of Frederick County cop cars parked in Washington County driveways on my commute in the morning, so it must be a common thing.

Try The Apartment Gallery. They run a bunch of properties around Hagerstown and have decent prices in very nice properties. My partner and I just signed a lease there since I'll be commuting to Frederick as well.

Best of luck to you Jackson Jeep, hope things turn out well. One piece of advice: Consider taking Rt. 40 to Frederick in the morning, as traffic moves about 55mph, there is only one traffic light between Hagerstown and Frederick, and it is a peaceful, pretty ride. Never encountered an accident in the few years I have been driving it.

We live in an Apt Gallery property and really like it. They are friendly and have quickly resolved any issues we have had with the apt, which haven't been anything major. The apartment was clean when we moved in. Good luck with your search!

Erine103, for your family moving to Frederick, I'd have him look at renting a townhome in the Spring Ridge area of Frederick. It's a few minutes from the police station, nice area and has everything you need right there: Grocery store, pharmacy, gas, schools, good pizza joint etc.
Hagerstown wise, we lived in apartments on Garden Lane 15 years ago and never had an issue!
