I thought this might make for a good thread for those of us with kids. Where are some of your favorite places to take your kids for local entertainment.

And No, Chuck E. Cheese doesn't qualify as a great place!

Quiet Waters park is nice in Annapolis. Kinder Park near Severna Park has a few animals to look at and perhaps pet, but a lot of places to walk around and see things. That place is probably the best for kids. Downtown Annapolis is nice to walk around and see the boats and old buildings. I guess it depends on the age.

I'd stay away from Sandy Point. That place is just dirty and nasty.

We have a year old and to be honest we take her to Arundel Mills a lot. I make sure I'm packin' heat - she loves to people watch. Annapolis mall is good for that too...and they're both climate controlled.

We just went to Jump Zone in Columbia this past week. It was a lot of fun and cheap. We have been going to Downs Park in Pasadena a lot more recently now that they've turned the entire beach area into an off leash dog area (we have a German Shepherd). Nice play area for the kids there.

BaltimoreMommies.com would be a great place to ask, they have a private group for moms in AACo.

Just took my two daughters (ages 7 & 9) to EcoAdventures in Millersville, MD. They love animals and wildlife and I had heard good things about this place from someone at their school. We had a great time - the kids got to learn about and hold an alligator, a snake, and a hedgehog. They jumped on a moonbounce, got their faces painted and did a couple crafts while we were there too. Will definitely go back again!
